Dr. Varsha Jain did her Ph.D. from IISER Mohali, under the supervision of Dr. Santanu Kumar Pal.
Ph.D. Thesis Title
“Phase behaviors of asymmetric bent-shaped mesogens and the study of interfacial phenomenon involving nematics”.
Her research work includes the design, synthesis and applications of achiral, polar, 3-4 ringed, unsymmetrically bent-shaped liquid crystals. They also deal with nematic liquid crystals applications as passive biosensors. She has also worked as a teaching assistant for the chemistry laboratory course of the BS-MS program at IISER Mohali.
